Video Camera

The small video camera is simple and carefree. It easily attaches to the microscope, offering high resolution (480 lines), incredible depth-of-field and low-light performance. This is due to our patented virtual beamsplitter technology.

Digital Camera Adapter

The use of digital photography has rapidly become an integral tool in today’s dental practices. It is particularly powerful when combined with the benefits of the dental microscope. The Global XMount and SLR XMount integrate most of the popular digital cameras with the microscope.

Automatic Framing

When taking photographs through the microscope, the images captured are exact replications of what the user sees. "Framing" is automatic. Additionally, the process of taking the picture and judging the results can be done in seconds. There is virtually no interruption to the treatment. Additionally, the wide optical path of the XMount and SLR Mount allow for faster shutter speeds, thus reducing blurring.

Electronic Documentation

Entire procedures can be documented electronically, allowing for efficient archiving in the patient records, communication with referring colleagues and insurance companies, and excellent preparation for case presentations. Also, this type of system is compatible with digital radiography systems.

Educating Your Patient

Perhaps the greatest benefit of being able to take pictures through the microscope is the ability to gain patient acceptance of treatment. Those cracks that cannot be seen with the naked eye can easily be seen through the microscope and then shown to the patient via the digital camera image. The patient is able to see the clear, high-resolution image that the dentist sees.

Virtual Beamsplitter

The Global Virtual Beamsplitter is a major breakthrough in the way video documentation is captured through the microscope. It redirects a small amount a light to the camera (less than 5%), while most of the light is still available to the operator.
